School Uniform

Dear Parents and Carers,
We are currently reviewing our school uniform policy to ensure it remains clear, inclusive, practical and affordable for all families.
As part of this process, we are consulting with parents and carers on proposed updates to the policy before it is finalised.
This review has been informed by the latest Department for Education guidance on the cost of school uniforms, which emphasises that schools should ensure uniforms provide best value for money for families, keep branded items to a minimum and make second-hand uniform available. I can confirm that there have been no significant changes to our policy.
A draft copy of the proposed uniform policy will be available from today:
-
on the school website in the policy section - https://www.lutley.dudley.sch.uk/page/?title=Policies&pid=54
-
from the school office
We welcome your feedback, comments and suggestions. Responses can be submitted by:
-
completing the online consultation form - Uniform Policy 2026 Consultation – Fill in form
-
emailing the school office
-
returning a paper response form to school via your child's class teacher
The consultation will close on Wednesday 13th May.
Following the consultation period, all feedback will be carefully considered before the final policy is approved by the Trust and shared with families.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership with the school.
Kind regards,
Mr Hall
